As of November 18, Zhunneng Group’s Haerwusu Open-pit Mine has completed 80.169 million cubic meters of self-operated stripping, breaking through the 80 million cubic meter mark and setting a new historical record for the same period, with an increase of 106.23%. This solid achievement injects strong momentum into ensuring energy supply security.

Since the beginning of this year, Haerwusu Open-pit Mine has fully focused on three key themes including core responsibilities and businesses, green transformation, and resource acquisition, implementing practical measures to guarantee energy supply. In equipment management, the Mine closely coordinated with the Equipment Maintenance Center, scientifically developing equipment utilization plans based on production tasks and maintenance schedules. It simultaneously strengthened the inspection for potential faults in unscheduled equipment use, striving to eliminate equipment defects and provide solid support for stripping operations. Furthermore, by implementing measures such as the equal responsibility system and key component point inspection for large structural parts, the Mine effectively reduced inspection time and continuously improved equipment operational efficiency. In production organization, it assigned dedicated personnel to update electric shovel operation briefs, systematizing key factors affecting output—such as project sequence, equipment maintenance, and cable handling—into standardized work sheets. The Mine flexibly adjusted working bench heights based on site conditions and used flag-marked boundaries in special work areas to further enhance shovel efficiency. Facing severe challenges from increased rainfall this year impacting safety and production, the Mine fully tapped its production potential by implementing daily reporting, weekly analysis, and monthly summary mechanisms to precisely monitor each equipment’s status. Through 16 key measures, including controlling pre-shift meeting duration, optimizing refueling sequences, and dynamically adjusting night shift operations, the Mine extended effective daily operational time by approximately two hours. It also fully leveraged the central role of dispatch command, conducting 21 practical emergency drills, effectively ensuring stable operations through the rainy season.

Additionally, adhering to the principle of “early planning and early implementation”, the Mine comprehensively launched its winter preparedness work centered on the five-point guideline of “prevention, replacement, assurance, inspection, and management”. Before winter, it completed the first round of freeze protection fluid freezing point tests for 298 major pieces of equipment across the Mine, immediately replacing any substandard fluids. It inspected the heating systems and their power supply lines for each unit to ensure all heaters function properly, thoroughly checked the compressed air system, and promptly addressed potential hazards. The Mine also intensified winter safety operation training for employees, standardized equipment startup and shutdown procedures, and strictly prevented freezing incidents, providing a solid guarantee for the safe and stable operation of equipment under extreme weather conditions.
