Since the beginning of this year, following China Energy’s requirements on building “Healthy Enterprises,” Huanghua Port has taken concrete actions to make progress and implement the principle of “prioritizing health and focusing on prevention” in its efforts to build a “Healthy Enterprise.” It has made continuous efforts to improve its health management and control system and ensure all work operate according to relevant rules through systematically improving all management rules and optimizing management procedures on the construction of “Healthy Enterprise.” Based on its reality, Huanghua Port has constantly strengthened technological innovation and launched the full-process coal dust control project, gradually improving the production and operation environment. In addition, it has formed an efficient, rational and centralized operational mode to enable workers to keep away from the coal operation zone through remote control, comprehensively improving the workplace environment for frontline workers. The port has also established and improved its employee health management and service system, equipped workplaces with first-aid kits and devices, carried out first aid training, prepared for the establishment of a psychological consultation center, and organized sporting and cultural activities for employees. Moreover, such measures as “fixed + self-chosen” physical checkup services and 100% coverage of serious illness insurance can also free employees from health worries. In addition, Huanghua Port opened the second canteen to offer more options and improve employees’ dining and living conditions, constantly increasing their sense of happiness. Leveraging conduits such as internal network, WeChat official account, and brochures, the port makes the awareness that “everyone should bear the primary responsibility for his or her own health” deeply rooted in the hearts of its employees and encourages them to join in the endeavor to create a healthy environment and enjoy healthy lifestyles.
